Harmonizing Processes for Free-flowing Travel

The Symposium and Exhibition on the ICAO Traveller Identification Programme (TRIP) takes place from 04 - 06 November 2025 at ICAO Headquarters in Montréal.

The TRIP Symposium is a world-class event enabling the exchange of information on all aspects of traveller identification management. Its various sessions highlight the need to enhance international cooperation and collaboration to facilitate the traveller's journey while addressing the multiple threats faced by international civil aviation. The improvement of the passenger experience will be achieved by promoting the global regulatory framework established by the provisions of Annex 9 – Facilitation to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, and linking it to the new technology tools available on the market.

The Twentieth anniversary of the TRIP Symposium marks a milestone of excellence and will build on the achievements of previous Symposia, beginning with the inaugural meeting in 2005. The theme of the 2025 TRIP Symposium is Identity Beyond Borders: Building the Next Generation of Seamless Travel. The main features of the tentative programme are detailed in the Programme Outline.
